This duo is the perfect pairing to show off two 100% Chardonnay wines from our Estate Morningsong Vineyard. Both wines are grown organically, fermented with native yeast and produced vegan through a low intervention style of winemaking exclusive to Amista Vineyards!

2021 Neutral Oak Chardonnay

Aromas of white peach and juicy white nectarines give way to lemon oil and toasted almonds. The palate is bright and pretty with great balance and acidity throughout. This unoaked Chardonnay is a refreshing and delicious wine!

Our Morningsong Estate Chardonnay was picked by hand in the early morning hours and immediately put into the press. The juice went straight to neutral French oak barrels where indigenous fermentation took about 4 weeks to complete and no malolactic was allowed. After fermentation, the wine was kept on primary lees for 10 months before bottling.

2021 Cristalina Chardonnay

Next, explore the wonderful mineral notes and brightness of our Cristalina Chardonnay. This wine is a passion project from our winemaker Ashley Herzberg. After a trip to Burgundy she was enamored by the delicate minerality of the white burgundy's found throughout the region. Upon returning, we embarked upon a vineyard mapping project in Morningsong. Much to our delight, we found a section of our Chardonnay block that had been planted over the ancient riverbed of Dry Creek. This inspired us to select these grapes for our Cristalina Chardonnay. Produced in a concrete egg from Burgundy, the minerality of the wine shines and a depth of character is created from the continued movement of the wine as it slowly ferments on the lees.
